Direct Sales (BDM) – TX, OK, AR, LA Region
Job Summary
As a Direct Sales Representative (BDM) at SolidCAM, you will be responsible for managing and growing a set of 40-50 Named Accounts within a defined geographic region. Your primary goal is to drive new software sales while maintaining account relationships and overseeing renewals within your territory. This role requires a highly consultative sales approach to engage with manufacturing companies, understand their needs, and position SolidCAM as the optimal solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage a book of 40-50 Named Accounts.
- Own and manage existing and growing install base.
- Drive new software license sales by developing relationships with decision-makers.
- Work closely with SDRs to convert warm leads into opportunities.
- Maintain visibility on renewals but defer to Subscription Specialists for execution.
- Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and demonstrations to drive engagement.
- Collaborate with technical pre-sales to craft tailored solutions.
- Exceed revenue targets through effective pipeline management and closing.
- Travel within the territory as needed for customer visits and tradeshows.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of B2B software sales experience (preferably in manufacturing/CAM).
- Strong understanding of CAD/CAM and CNC machining workflows.
- Experience managing high-value sales cycles ($50K+ deals).
- Ability to travel as needed for on-site meetings and industry events.
- Strong CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and pipeline management skills.
