PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Add-on Software Solutions
Enhance your productivity with a variety of specialized Add-Ons for your specific machining needs.
SolidCAM for Operators
Shop Floor Access to CAM Data
SolidCAM for Operators bridges the gap between CAM programming and the shop floor, giving CNC operators direct, easy access to critical CAM data with the ability to make quick adjustments right next to the machine. Designed to simplify workflows and boost productivity, it ensures operators can understand, verify, and optimize machining processes without slowing down production.
Available in two modes, Editor and Simulator, SolidCAM for Operators can be tailored to your shop’s needs. Choose Simulator to provide visualization and verification only, or Editor to enable minor edits and G-code regeneration directly on the shop floor.
Key Benefits
- Reduce Setup Time & Dry-Runs: Step through each G-code movement before execution, minimizing trial runs and streamlining machine setup
- Avoid Machine & Tool Damage: Full simulation capabilities help operators identify and prevent crashes or collisions before they occur
- Increase Shop Floor Efficiency: Operators can make quick adjustments without waiting on busy CAM programmers
- Complete Operation Insight: Access full operation details from tool data and setup definitions to clamping, work offsets, and process simulations
Editor Mode
Empower operators to go beyond simulation. With Editor Mode, they can open CAM projects created by programmers, modify machining parameters (like step-downs, feeds, or speeds), recalculate toolpaths, run simulations, and generate updated G-code — all directly at the CNC machine.
Simulator Mode
Focus purely on process understanding and verification. Simulator Mode lets operators review the tool list, setup details, work offsets, and full machining simulation without editing capabilities, ensuring complete confidence before running the program.
